The Global Brand Manager is an emboldened and experienced leader responsible for the global brand, vision and identity of Phenomenex, devising and implementing corporate brand strategy and campaigns internally and externally to convey brand sentiment and drive awareness. They will provide strategic leadership and conduct customer insight projects to identify market trends and brand perception, while also owning the external communications/public relations channel and agency utilization to drive greater brand awareness and progress perception. This position will work hand in hand with the Phenomenex marketing, sales, R&D, leadership, commercial and corporate communication teams. Location This is a remote role which can be located anywhere in the US. Key Responsibilities Single point of expertise and reference on brand positioning/messaging for Phenomenex. assuring consistent usage of corporate branding, guidelines, overall vision/mission and company values Drive awareness, branding thought leadership and the story of Phenomenex through the creation and execution of strategic corporate initiatives that enhance Phenomenex’s brand perception and equity Conduct and analyze customer insight and market research programs to identify brand position, perception and awareness Partner with marketing teams and executive leadership to identify synergies and champion complementary initiatives. Translate market developments and trends into agile brand updates, communications and strategies Develop and implement external communications/PR campaigns by partnering with agencies and marketing teams to drive market awareness and growth Help to translate highly scientific and complex information into compelling brand experiences Continuously look for opportunities to improve existing processes to create larger impact and efficiencies or standardize look and feel across platforms and regions Monitor and report on campaign metrics to maximize marketing effectiveness and drive ROI; utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement, tweaking program implementation to optimize impact. Development and optimization of key corporate content pillars such as corporate videos and corporate presentation Professional Experience and Education Minimum 10+ years of brand building experience Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of PR or Journalism experience, strong writing skills, a solid understanding of life sciences media and AP writing style Proven ability to create and direct high-quality campaign and content creative—including copywriting and design elements—for traditional and digital channels Global mindset and passion for growth Familiarity with digital and social media trends, and measurement platforms is required with a strong intuition for business and an ability to clearly communicate complicated issues in simple terms Required Capabilities Ability to perform exceptionally in fast-paced, performance-oriented environment Experience working in a global environment and in a matrix-managed organization Experienced leader with ability to influence decisions across all levels of an organization Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and manage competing priorities and changing business needs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
